Sadio Mané spent six years at Liverpool before leaving them for Bayern Munich last summer.
The forward has managed 11 goals and five assists from 32 games this season and has failed to score a goal in this calendar year. He was also involved in an incident after his side’s defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League last week.
Bayern suspended the 31-year-old for the weekend clash against Hoffenheim and also fined him for his behaviour towards a teammate. This led to speculations in England that Liverpool could consider bringing him back to Anfield after this season.
Bild have relayed this and then waste no time in dismissing the possibility of the Senegal international returning to the Merseyside club.
Mané was reportedly involved in an incident with Leroy Sané after Bayern’s defeat to City. Due to this, it’s explained that the attacker’s image at the Bavarian club is ‘permanently damaged’.
Despite this and his struggles on the pitch in 2023, the former Southampton man is not at all interested in returning to Liverpool.
This should therefore put rumours of the possibility of Mané returning to Liverpool to bed, at least for the time being.
