Fulham have a concrete desire to sign PSV Eindhoven’s Ricardo Pepi in the winter market.
Eindhovens Dagblad already reported on this last month and a fresh report from the same outlet talked about Fulham’s offer.
On New Year’s Eve, ED reported PSV had rejected around €30-35m from Marco Silva’s side. They also indicated Fulham could return with an improved offer.
PSV technical director Earnest Stewart has now confirmed rejecting an offer for the 22-year-old. Eindhovens Dagblad have relayed his comments.
“It’s not interesting for us,” he said, without mentioning the fee received or the club that sent an offer for the American.
Eindhovens Dagblad state the Premier League side tabled this proposal and the amount offered didn’t convince PSV.
Fulham need to go higher for Pepi
Voetbal International also cover Stewart’s admission of turning down an offer for Pepi. They report this was tabled by Fulham and it was around €30-35m, so the figures are being repeated consistently.
VI state Fulham haven’t returned with an improved offer yet and as things stand, the Dutch club have no plans to sell the attacker in the winter market.
According to them, PSV will need an ‘exorbitant’ fee, without mentioning any figure, to sell Pepi in January. Over to Fulham to try again.
