Over the past few weeks, the German media have repeatedly named Liverpool as a firm candidate to sign Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush.
On November 4th, Bild reported the Reds are above all in the transfer race and the striker has a dream of joining Liverpool.
Two days later, SportBild stated Arne Slot’s side are one of the two options for the 25-year-old.
A new report from Tuesday’s edition of Bild backs up Liverpool’s interest in Marmoush and adds that Bayern Munich are also keen.
The Egypt international has starred for the Bundesliga side this season, scoring 14 goals and registering 10 assists from 16 games. This has seen top clubs show interest to secure his services, and only Liverpool and Bayern are mentioned.
Journalist and pundit Marcel Reif remains optimistic the frontman will continue at Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of this season. He talked about Marmoush on Bild’s ‘Reif ist live’, and backed the Egyptian to make a switch to Anfield.
“It’s no secret that he will probably move to Liverpool next summer. I would put a few euros on it. As the successor to his great idol Mo Salah. Things couldn’t get any better for him,” he said.
Mohamed Salah’s contract lasts until the end of this season, although there are attempts ongoing regarding a renewal.
