On April 13th, Corriere dello Sport reported that Tottenham Hotspur are among various clubs to have registered interest in Juventus’ Paulo Dybala.

It has already been announced the 28-year-old will leave the Serie A side, when his deal with them runs out on June 30th.

In the last week of April, Alfredo Pedullà explained the intermediaries working on behalf of the forward have noted Tottenham Hotspur’s offer for the Argentina international.

Jorge Antun, the former Palermo star’s agent, insisted a few days ago that his client has not agreed a deal with any club so far.

Although reports in the Italian press insist Inter Milan are favourites to sign Dybala, other clubs, including Spurs are still said to be in the picture to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.

Italian agent Massimo Brambati claims the South American will only end up at Spurs if Antonio Conte were to leave the north London club after this season.

“For the race to Dybala there is grand prix in which Inter currently runs alone,” Brambati told TMW Radio.

“Speaking of Tottenham, if Conte were to remain there, [then] would be no possibility for his transfer.

“The last two years weigh on the player’s evaluation, characterised by injuries and continuous stops. In these situations, the pitch is the only judge. Since the announcement of the non-renewal, I expected a surge in performance from the player, which instead did not happen.

“I don’t think he will be without a team, but at the moment no one is tearing his hair out to take Dybala, much less at the figures requested by the Argentine himself.”
