Tuesday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport reports Dušan Vlahović wants to finish on a high for Juventus in their final home Serie A match, against Udinese at the weekend.
The Serbian striker’s future has been under serious doubt for months and it’s now felt he’s edging towards the exit at Juventus, as long as a buyer can be found. Gazzetta state the player ‘wants to finish on a high note’.
As for destination, the Premier League is seen as a likely option, with ‘Newcastle above all’. There’s also been some ambitious interest from Turkey, where the loan signing of Victor Osimhen has somewhat changed the thinking on what is possible.
Vlahović has scored 14 goals this season and is his club’s top scorer despite them edging him towards the exit. The reason for the likely sale, and the potential opportunity for clubs like Newcastle United, is that the 25-year-old’s contract expires in 2026 and there’s no agreement on a renewal.
Newcastle United and others, therefore, should be able to negotiate a reasonable price.
Whether Magpies interest is dependent on Alexander Isak leaving is unclear.
