Lyon continue to strongly pursue Arnaut Danjuma, according to claims from France.
The winger, who’s loaned by Villarreal to Everton until the end of the season, could see his spell but short to make a switch to Ligue 1.
L’Equipe is the one bringing an update on this story today, claiming that Lyon have an agreement on transfer conditions with Danjuma’s camp.
Now the ‘negotiations continue’ with both Everton and Villarreal for the clubs to break his spell at Goodison Park.
As has long been reported, Everton are looking for a replacement in the market before agreeing to Danjuma’s exit, understandably not wanting to leave themselves short for the rest of the season.
Given the financial restrictions at the Premier League club, that’s easier said than done and despite multiple links to various players, including Real Betis’ Luiz Henrique, nothing appears close at this moment in time.
Danjuma has 18 appearances for the Toffees this season, with two goals along the way.
L’Equipe believe this one could drag on until the final days of the window.
