French outlet RMC Sport today brings some fresh updates on the situation of Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez.
The outlet claims that following other Premier League stars, the 32-year-old is now also ‘on the verge’ of moving to Saudi Arabia.
It’s said Mahrez is nearing an agreement to leave Manchester City for Al-Ahli.
According to RMC Sport, there are just a ‘few details’ left to be sorted, but the clubs already ave an agreement for the transfer.
Al-Ahli reportedly put on the table a three-year contract waiting for Mahrez. There, he should earn around €35m net per season.
His yearly salary is even bigger than the amount paid for the transfer, as the story claims Manchester City should get just €25m with the sale.
Despite getting closer to an advanced age, Mahrez was crucial in the Citizens’ treble campaign, with 15 goals and 13 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions.
The midfielder, who had already won a Premier League title with Leicester City in 2016, won four more under Pep Guardiola, and certainly leaves England with his job done, having also added a Champions League medal to his trophy cabinet during the last campaign.
