It’s now the Brazilian media who reports that Bahia are signing Diego Rosa from Manchester City on a loan deal.

Globo Esporte today writes that the midfielder is already in Salvador ahead of the move, and ‘will defend’ the Tricolor in the 2023 season.

According to the story, Bahia have been hiding the player from the media for now.

Diego is working at the indoor facilities in training sessions which are open to the press, and in closed sessions, he comes out to work on the field.

The reason for it is that the midfielder still has a contract with Portuguese side Vizela, where he was supposed to be on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season.

It’s only in January that the spell will officially be broken, and only then will he nofficially join his new club.

Globo Esporte points out that following the City Group’s takeover, Diego Rosa is set to be the second Manchester City player to arrive at Bahia.

The first one is Kayky, who was also having a loan spell in Portugal, but at Paços Ferreira meaning both players are having their spells cut short to reinforce the Brazilian side.
