Amid all the talk of Mykhaylo Mudryk and Sergej Milinković-Savić, there is now a claim Arsenal are moving for another player.

That man is Nicolo Zaniolo, currently at AS Roma, where his contract situation (it ends in 2024) is starting to become an issue for the Serie A side.

Tottenham already tried to take advantage of it over the summer, but never managed to convince the Italians, and now Arsenal could give it a go.

That’s according to Radio Radio in Italy, who post an exclusive on their website regarding the Gunners’ interest in the playmaker.

It’s claimed that Roma ‘have never talked about renewing’ their player ‘in recent months’, and Zaniolo himself hasn’t moved to get anything done either.

Despite this, they do communicate and hold each other in high esteem, but it seems the owners ‘want to think more deeply about more expensive commitments with the player’.

This leaves the door open for interested clubs, where ‘the English sirens of Arsenal are heard’.

It’s pointed out the Gunners ‘could undermine’ their Serie A counterparts with two options: By trying to get him on a free next year or ‘by offering a small sum of around €25m’ between now and June 30th.

That would be a bargain for a player of his potential and ability, but it must be remembered he has suffered a number of serious injuries in the past, which could be why there is some reluctance from Roma’s end to commit long-term.
