Pierre Kalulu has become a key player for Juventus, however, Liverpool can snatch him away from the Italian side.
Sport Witness have covered how Premier League clubs have been alert to the idea of signing the Frenchman. This came after Kalulu rose to prominence for the Bianconeri and has become a regular right-back under Luciano Spalletti.
So far this season, he has started every game in the Serie A, playing every minute at right-back. He had also impressed in the second half of last season, which has turned him into an important player for the French national team too.
Talk around Liverpool has now grown, even if the Old Lady are attempting a renewal.
Reds call could be heard
Tuttomercatoweb have some information about the defender’s situation, making it clear that Juve are trying to renew his contract. His current deal runs out in 2029 but the Italian side aim to renew it, in an attempt to protect him from suitors.
Kalulu is ‘among the top names’ on Liverpool’s shortlist. The outlet are sure the Reds want to sign a right-back next and the Frenchman’s athletic, technical and versatile nature appeals to them.
Andoni Iraola’s side can end up ruining Juve’s plans and their interest won’t go unnoticed at the Continassa.
As well as Kalulu, AS Roma’s Wesley is also a possible target for Liverpool. The Merseyside club have closely monitored the Brazil international in recent weeks, with the wing-back having become one of Roma’s key players since last season.

One of the two could join
Valuations of the two players are unlikely to be far apart from each other. Since Juve are keen on renewing Kalulu’s deal, a move for Wesley could be more realistic for Liverpool.
The 23-year-old is younger and can also fill in seamlessly on the left. Roma don’t appear to be tying him down to a new deal, which could be another positive for Iraola’s side.
Moreover, Wesley being younger will mean Liverpool can land him when he is approaching his prime. After that, his valuation can grow further, especially if he keeps performing consistently.
