Fikayo Tomori is set to leave AC Milan, with Liverpool, Coventry City and Newcastle United in the picture to sign him.
The centre-back has had a mixed time in Italy. He won the Serie A title with the Rossoneri, but has struggled at times since.
Tomori was close to joining Tottenham in 2025, however, the player then rejected the move. Juventus’ approach for him met the same fate.
The 2025/26 campaign wasn’t the best for the defender. There were repeat signs of his weaknesses on the ball, with Sport Witness having previously covered that doubts around his future were increasing.
Now, doubt have turned into certainty, with three English clubs interested.

Gazzetta dello Sport explain Tomori wasn’t part of Milan’s squad for the friendly against Chelsea. Even if he was fit, Ruben Amorim excluded him and it is a clear sign that he has decided to move on from the Englishman.
He is seeking a player who is better on the ball than the ex-Blues player. Tomori is quite attached to the Rossoneri and has previously rejected moves away from the club. Now, things could change.
Quotidiano Sportivo report similar. They go on to note that Newcastle United, Coventry City and Liverpool have ‘come knocking’ for his signature already.
Tomori’s current deal at Milan runs until 2027, with the outlet reporting that no renewal is in sight.
Our take: Tomori would be a squad player
At Milan, the centre-back’s weaknesses have been increasingly evident. He does make defensive errors, especially when playing in a higher defensive line.
That said, he could be a squad player for any of Newcastle United, Coventry City or Liverpool. He has Premier League experience from his time with Chelsea and offers reliable experience of winning silverware in Italy.
The 28-year-old could also be a dressing room leader and help teams close out games, while coming on for the last 15 minutes.
