Fikayo Tomori is on his way out of AC Milan in the summer and he could end up at Newcastle United.

The defender has had a mixed spell at the Rossoneri. He won Serie A with them in 2022 but has never managed to pick up the same level of form since then.

In January 2025, he came close to joining Tottenham. Milan were happy to move him on but the player rejected the transfer, also saying no to Juventus.

Despite being inconsistent, he was a regular for the club last season, but couldn’t stop them from finishing outside the top four again. With Ruben Amorim now in charge, the likelihood of his exit from the San Siro is increasing.

Tomori is on their shortlist, with Milan keen on making sure he doesn’t leave for free next year. His contract runs until 2027, which puts the pressure on.

Our take: Bargain deal for squad player

The 28-year-old has a lot of experience, both in Italy and England. While he has weaknesses on the ball, Tomori can still be a more than reliable squad player for Premier League clubs like Newcastle United.

The defender won’t cost much either. A price tag of around €15m to €20m has been spoken about.

Time could become Newcastle United’s friend, in this case. If no clubs step forward for Tomori in the next few weeks, Milan could be desperate for a sale and give further discounts.
