According to a claim in the Swedish media, Leicester City are interested in signing Reading forward Modou Barrow.
The 25 year old got his career back on track with Reading last season after a loan spell with Leeds United in 2017. However, his form last season has brought him to the attention of other clubs, and Reading now have a fight to keep him at the club.
Sportbladet report Leicester City are in talks with Reading with regards to signing Barrow before next week’s transfer deadline.
It’s claimed the player would be interested in a move to the Foxes, but the two clubs need to agree on a transfer fee.
Reading reportedly value Barrow in the region of 100m Swedish Korner (£8.6m), but Leicester City aren’t prepared to offer this. Talks are now expected to continue over the coming days.
Barrow signed for Reading last summer just weeks after his loan spell with Leeds United ended. He played just five league games for the Elland Road club, scoring no goals.
