Two days ago, Trivela reported Manchester United have initiated contact to sign Palmeiras young star Thalys. This was echoed by PL Brasil, who then explained the Red Devils are advancing for the striker.
Journalist Jorge Nicola took to YouTube to back up Trivela’s claim and then shared his own information on this case, relayed by Bolavip in Brazil.
He explains that Manchester United have only carried out a survey as of now and it would ‘take a while’ for them to make an offer.
Since the start of last year, the 19-year-old has been part of the Palmeiras’ U20 squad and has scored three goals from five games for them this year. Thalys is yet to make his first team debut, even though he’s highly valued within the club.
Thalys has a €40m release clause in a contract that lasts until 2026 and the journalist doesn’t expect Erik ten Hag’s side or any other club to make an offer in this region. He further adds the chances of the Brazilian leaving Palmeiras in the next window are low.
Manchester United, for their part, will continue to keep an eye on the youngster and wait for Thalys to make his senior debut, ahead of making any offer.
