Loaned from Barcelona for the 2021-22 season, Trincão may have made 30 appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers, but that hides the fact he didn’t have that many minutes.
The Portuguese forward only started 16 Premier League games during his time at Molineux, which ended with him returning to Spain, only to be sent back out on loan to Sporting Clube de Portugal.
They have since made the move permanent by triggering the €7m option to buy, and the player has made it clear he is pleased with how things have turned out away from Wolves, speaking to Sport TV, relayed by O Jogo.
He said: “It’s like the manager has said about me, I need the consistency that I haven’t had in recent years. I feel good here, I’m happy. I hope to gain this consistency to be able to give more and be better.”
His next game will be in the Europa League quarter-finals against Juventus, with the aim of overturning a 1-0 loss in the first leg.
As for Wolves, they have had a difficult season this year, first sacking Bruno Lage before appointing Julen Lopetegui, who has steered them a bit clearer from the relegation zone, as they now sit 13th, a good seven points above 18th placed Nottingham Forest.
