According to a claim in the Turkish media, Sassuolo attacker Armand Laurienté is on the verge of signing for Fenerbahce.
The 26-year-old was on the verge of signing Sunderland, before the move collapsed.
Sabah now report Fenerbahce have reached there own agreement to sign Laurienté.
The Yellow Canaries have been linked with a number of wide attackers over the past few weeks as Jose Mourinho looks to fill the void left by the recent departures of Allan Saint-Maximin and Dušan Tadić.
Fenerbahce have reportedly reached agreements with both the player and his club over the transfer, which should be announced shortly.
Laurienté was on the verge of signing for Sunderland earlier this month after reports the Black Cats had agreed to purchase him for €20m.
However, despite travelling to England to complete his transfer, the deal fell through at the last minute. Sassuolo were quick to blame the attacker’s agent and questioned his role during negotiations with Sunderland.
“There are difficulties in this transfer market, many of them, not in the choices and objectives, but in the negotiations. As a football system, we deal with many agents, especially foreign ones. You might close a deal with a club and then have to buy the player from the agent,” said Sassuolo general director Giovanni Carnevali.
There have been claims in the Turkish press that Fenerbahce will be paying €15m for the Frenchman.
