Anders Dreyer arrived at Brighton & Hove Albion from Danish club Esbjerg fB in 2018.
Having failed to make it to their first team, the Seagulls allowed the winger to join St Mirren on a temporary deal for the second half of last season. They again sent him on loan, this time to SC Heerenveen, for the 2019/20 season.
Dreyer has a goal and two assists to his name in nine Eredivisie appearances, but is yet to start for them in the league.
Speaking to Danish outlet Bold in November, the 21-year-old insisted he is ‘comfortable’ in the Netherlands, despite his limited role on the pitch.
Local Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder Courant sat down for an interview with the Denmark U21 international and Tipsbladet have relayed the comments made by the player. Dreyer once again stressed he’s happy at Heerenveen.
“I’m very happy here. I come into the club with joy every day,” Dreyer said.
The wideman also revealed Graham Potter’s side have an option to recall him in January, but stressed he will make the final call on his future
“In principle, Brighton can bring me back in January, and then my agent will have to go to the negotiating table,” he explained.
“It depends primarily on what I want. I have to play in the club where I can get the most chances. In the end, I decide my own future.”
If the Premier League side decide to cut short his loan spell with Heerenveen, Brighton are likely to send Dreyer on loan again in the winter market.
