Turizm Gunlugu have revealed a special chartered flight will bring in Hull City fans from Turkey for Saturday’s clash with Middlesbrough.
Following Southampton’s expulsion from the Championship play-off final, Boro have taken their place. Last night the Saints lost their appeal after being charged for spying on other clubs throughout the season.
Hull City chief questions final
However, Hull city owner Acun Ilıcalı has questioned whether the Tigers should now be automatically promoted to the Premier League.
“Under normal circumstances, two teams have reached the final and one has been disqualified. Our lawyers’ opinion is that we should go directly to the Premier League, but they’re examining it right now. We can’t say anything definitive. It’s a bit of a messy situation,” said Ilıcalı.
The Hull City chief went on say: “We had been preparing for Southampton for 10 days. All the planning, analysis, and work was focused on them. Now, with the days left until the final, the opponent has changed. Tomorrow the players are off, Thursday is the last serious training session. We’ll prepare for the new opponent with one training session.”
Despite his comments the final will go ahead this weekend, and Corendon Airlines will be bringing in fans from Istanbul and Antalya. The Turkish airline company has sponsored the Championship side for the past five years.
Tigers fans arrive tomorrow

According to Turizm Gunlug the flight will take off from Antalya tomorrow morning and will then land at Istanbul airport to pick up the remaining fans.
The flight is then expected to arrive at Gatwick around Friday lunchtime before the fans return to Turkey on Saturday night.
It’s hoped that flying in Hull City fans from Turkey can provide strong support for the club and build bonds.
Hull City go into the final after an impressive victory over Millwall in the semi- finals and will be looking to get promotion to the Premier League following a five-year absence.
