On Monday, Foot Mercato stated Hull City are in advanced talks to sign FUS Rabat’s Reda Laalaoui in the summer window.

Le 360 Sport state the 20-year-old will move to England where the Tigers are in pole position.

A source close to this operation has told Le 360 that Hull City have been in ongoing talks with FUS Rabat. The parties involved haven’t signed anything yet, but the deal is at an advanced stage.

The midfielder is currently with Morocco’s U20s at the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations. They have made it to the semi-final and are scheduled to face hosts Egypt on Thursday.

The final and the third-place match will take place on Sunday. Another source told Le 360 that Laalaoui’s move to Hull City ‘could speed up’ after he returns from Egypt.

Africa Foot also cover the Championship club’s interest in the player. Three weeks ago, they reported FUS Rabat had rejected a €250,000 offer from the Tigers, and requested the fee be doubled.

A source close to FUS Rabat has told Africa Foot they’ve agreed to sell Laalaoui to Hull City: ‘FUS Rabat has agreed to sell Reda Laalaoui’s contract for €250,000, but the player’s sales agreement includes a clause that will allow us to benefit from 40% if the player is sold to a new team within the next four years.’
