Nottingham Forest have another Brazilian club knocking on the door over Cuiabano. This time, it is Vasco da Gama, who are exploring a loan move for the left-back after his return to England at the end of last season.

According to Globo Esporte, Vasco want to strengthen their options on the left side and see Cuiabano as an attractive profile due to his physical strength and technical quality. The interest comes at a moment of shortage in the position.

Cuiabano has only just returned after the end of his Botafogo loan and still awaits his first competitive appearance for Nottingham Forest. Even so, the Brazilian market continues to circle, with Vasco now joining the list of clubs making enquiries.

The report adds an important detail. Cuiabano’s preference would be a return to Botafogo, but that option is currently blocked by a transfer ban, which prevents John Textor’s club from registering new players.

As a result, other Brazilian sides have moved, and Vasco have already made their interest clear to the player’s representatives.

For now, there is no indication of talks with Forest or a formal proposal. This is early-stage interest, shaped by squad needs in Brazil rather than any push from England.

But if Cuiabano can’t get his chance to play at Nottingham Forest, clubs at home will continue to look for ways to bring him back. So we’ll see this is background noise or the start of another unexpected turn for the defender.
