Paul Pogba has been a regular topic of discussion in the Italian media after his agent Mino Raiola publicly stated the midfielder’s time at Manchester United would be coming to an end sooner rather than later.

The 27-year-old established himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe at Juventus and the Old Lady are now pushed forward as a main suitor for his signing.

Weston McKennie and Arthur arrived at the Turin club in the summer, and the two are taking steps forward to impress for the Serie A winners.

Despite the summer additions, Il Bianconero states Juve’s midfield department remains ‘inadequate’, when ‘compared with the strength of the defence and the magnitude of the attack’. Moreover, it’s not in line with the club’s ‘international ambition’.

Therefore, Raiola’s latest stance on the World Cup winner provides an ‘extraordinary opportunity’ for Juve chairman Andrea Agnelli to take Pogba back.

The France international wants to leave Old Trafford and has a ‘weapon to convince’ the Red Devils to sanction his sale, and that’s the time left on his contract [expires in 2022].

Having left the Italian champions in 2016, Pogba ‘remained very close’ to his former teammates and also with the club. The website states that ‘in England he slipped into a tunnel full of misunderstandings and tensions, but in our opinion, he continues to be one of the best midfielders in the world.’

Juventus will have to make a ‘significant economic investment’, both in terms of the fee and salary, to complete the deal.

However, the opportunity to sign a player of Pogba’s qualities is ‘truly extraordinary’ as  the Italian giants believe they could ‘make a big leap forward’ with the addition of the Manchester United player.
