Everton have sent a ‘clear message’ to Flamengo over Charly Alcaraz, with him set to be signed regardless of the clause included in his loan deal.
That’s according to Torcida Flamengo, who report that Everton intend to sign Alcaraz even if the clauses in his loan deal are not met between now and the end of the season.
The Toffees will be obligated to buy Alcaraz if he starts six games or manages at least 45 minutes in the game between now and the end of the season. So far, he’s managed two starts and three appearances, but the latter were all for less than 45 minutes so don’t count towards the clause.
There is a belief that he will hit the tally eventually, although the power is in Everton’s hands, and it has been suggested that they may avoid activating it to re-negotiate in the summer.
Torcida now report that Flamengo have ‘already received a clear message’ from Everton about Alcaraz’s future.
According to their information, despite the targets set out in the contract with the Toffees, they’re going to buy Alcaraz anyway. He has ‘charmed’ David Moyes and his staff and, as a result, will never return to Flamengo.
Alcaraz also feels comfortable playing in the Premier League and in Everton’s new style, which sees them often play in transition and gets the best out of him.
Everyone is happy, then, and even if he doesn’t play the required minutes and activate his clause, Everton intend to buy him from Flamengo in the summer.
