Napoli face Bologna this evening in their second match of the Serie A season after losing 3-0 away to Verona in their first game.

A bad result today and the clouds of crisis with thicken around the club, and Antonio Conte’s anger will likely boil over again. The manager has already made it clear publicly that things have been worse at Napoli than he expected to find, and he won’t feel he’s been backed enough in the window yet.

One of Napoli’s targets has been Scott McTominay, but like with most of the club’s transfer pursuits they hit a wall when they found out how much he would cost. Manchester United have reportedly been asking for €30m for the midfielder, and Napoli didn’t want to go there.

Sunday’s edition of Il Mattino, the local Naples newspaper, reports, via CalcioNapoli24, that a €25m offer ‘appears to have been accepted’ by Manchester United

That offer is said to include bonuses, and Il Mattino may be living a little on the optimistic side, but time will soon tell.

McTominay has reportedly already agreed a four year contract with the Italian club.
