In January, Sport Witness covered claims from TuttoSport of Arsenal interest in Inter Milan’s Federico Dimarco. Now, Manchester United are being pushed as an interested party. And strongly so, too.
The Italian left-back is having a very impressive 2025/26 campaign. He already has 13 assists in Serie A, racking up three of them in the win over Sassuolo at the weekend.
He’s also scored five times, finding the net once in the Champions League.
Dimarco is making a case for being the best player in his position. Manchester United are presented as being keen, however, there’ll be doubts over whether that’s related to renewal efforts.
This comes from today’s TuttoSport, who believe Dimarco’s new contract at the Nerazzurri will run until 2029 or 2030. The deal hasn’t been signed yet but there is an expectation that it should be.
Manchester United will need something special
Manchester United have been ‘dreaming of him’ for a while, and keen on a transfer. His renewal won’t change things either, with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2027.
The newspaper go on to praise the 28-year-old’s growth as a player. They note Dimarco has improved physically quite a bit this season and looks a lot more agile.
Beyond that, he has also worked on his defensive ability. This has helped him quite a bit in contributing to multiple aspects of Inter’s play.
That is why his importance to the side has increased and his overall valuation will also go up after the renewal. If Manchester United really want the left-back, it will take something special to sign him.
