In the past few weeks, the Spanish media has been reawakening the rumours which link Marcos Acuña to Aston Villa.
It’s been said that with Sevilla more likely to negotiate the player this summer, there’s a chance that the Premier League side could land him this time.
That’s today again said by ABC, who features a story with some departures which should take place at the La Liga club in the coming months.
Speaking of Acuña, it’s first recalled that Aston Villa tried to sign the player last summer. Sevilla only rejected the move because Monchi was involved in the operation and they didn’t want to help him.
However, with the player’s contract running out next year, the Spanish club are expected to show ‘less modesty’.
At the start of the month, outlet Estadio Deportivo had already claimed that both Sevilla and Acuña believe it’s time for him to go from the club.
It remains to be seen whether Aston Villa will still be interested, though. The left-back is valued by Transfermarkt at €4m, and the Premier League side certainly wouldn’t have many financial difficulties to get the business done.
