Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rafa Mir ‘can be an ideal replacement’ for Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan, if the Belgium international decides to leave the San Siro in the next market.
The former Manchester United man is getting linked with Manchester City and Chelsea these days, although it still seems unlikely.
Inter Live claims Lukaku wants to continue in Milan, but if the Nerazzurri decide to cash in on from his sale, they have identified Mir, who is currently on a season-long loan deal at SD Huesca, as a potential replacement.
It won’t be ‘that simple’ for Antonio Conte’s side to make an attempt for the Spaniard [only if Lukaku leaves] because of his agent and price tag.
The 23-year-old is represented by Jorge Mendes, who also manages Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo, and for ‘this very reason’, the super-agent could offer the Wolves striker to the Turin club.
In addition to this, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have slapped a €20m valuation on Mir and Inter find this figure is rather expensive for a player who has no international experience [with Spain’s senior team].
Apart from the aforementioned two factors, the ‘current corporate uncertainty’ at Inter makes it difficult to predict the club’s future plans.
Mir, who can operate on either side of the wings or play up front, has eight goals to his name in 28 league appearances for Huesca.
