According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray have lined up a replacement for Barış Alper Yılmaz, following reports of an offer from Brighton & Hove Albion.

There have been recent claims in the UK and Turkish media that the Premier League side want to sign the Turkey international this summer.

Dirilis Postasi today report Galatasaray are looking to life without Yılmaz and are targeting Bodrum F.K winger Gökdeniz Bayraktar. It’s claimed the Turkish champions are in talks to sign the player for €1.5m.

There latest developments will come as a welcome boost to Brighton after reports they’ve made a €20m offer for Yılmaz. However, it’s reported the English side may have to go up €25m to sign the right winger.

Yılmaz is currently in Germany with the Turkey national team so perosnal terms will need to be done after the tournament.

The player has previously been linked with West Ham United, Lazio and Bayer Leverkusen.

He started 28 Super Lig games last season, scoring seven goals. Yılmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2027.
