Marcos Alonso won the league in his debut season at Chelsea when Antonio Conte was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Conte is currently at Inter Milan and FcInterNews claims the 29-year-old remains a ‘favourite’ left-back target for the Italian coach.
Frank Lampard has Alonso and Emerson Palmieri as the two recognised left-backs at Stamford Bridge.
According to the report, the Blues are looking at FC Porto’s Alex Telles and if he arrives, the English club would be willing to sacrifice Emerson over Alonso.
However, Alonso is ‘very tempted’ with the idea of returning to Serie A and reuniting with Conte.
It’s claimed the Spaniard has also informed Chelsea about his desire to change clubs, despite being the first choice left-back since January.
In addition to this, his representatives share a good relation with the Nerazzurri and therefore ‘it would not be a problem’ to find an agreement for personal terms.
Should Chelsea bring in a new left-back, it remains to be seen who between Alonso and Emerson will be allowed to leave the club.
