Earlier today we covered a report which stated Brighton & Hove Albion are working to sign Mats Wieffer from Feyenoord. The player was presented as being keen on the move and there was some confidence around the potential transfer.
Brighton are thought to be moving for the 24-year-old Dutchman because they’re set to lose Pascal Groß this summer, with the player keen on a return to German football.
Bild back up the latter bit, saying Groß is now on the verge of a move to Borussia Dortmund. The 33-year-old is attractive to BVB because it’s believed he can be signed for a low fee, partly due to his contract situation at Brighton.
According to the German newspaper, Brighton are in discussions with BVB and a move can be done at €7-10m.
Groß would be given a two year contract with the Bundesliga side, with the option for a third should everything be going well. He’ll be paid €6m per season, a big wage for German football.
