Catalan newspaper Sport says that Claudio Bravo is set to fly to England on Thursday and subsequently sign for Manchester City, after a meeting with Barcelona didn’t ease his concerns.
Today, there were claims from Portugal saying City still haven’t bid for the Sporting goalkeeper Rui Patrício, and the news from Spain suggests it’s Bravo who has got the Pep Guardiola nod.
Sport say Manchester City have offered €25m and that Barcelona are willing to accept the offer.
Earlier on Monday, Sport said that Claudio Bravo’s agent Cristian Ogalde was expected to meet Barcelona in the next few days, when he’d show the club all the offers the player has to leave.
Bravo and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen are both said to be living an uncomfortable situation at the club, as both are tired of taking turns, and if Luis Enrique has to pick one, the website says it will be the German.
The reason why Guardiola is after Bravo instead of Ter Stegen is because Barça don’t want to sell the German, and his €80m release clause is considered to be unaffordable.
