Tammy Abraham’s transfer from Beşiktaş to Aston Villa is imminent, reports Wednesday’s edition of Sabah.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to his former club after a loan spell at Villa Park during the 2018/19 season. At the time the centre forward was on Chelsea’s books, and he clearly has fond memories of the temporary spell.
Abraham is currently on loan with the Super Lig side from AS Roma after moving in the summer. Beşiktaş have an obligation to make his transfer permanent for €13m.
Yesterday, we covered reports that Aston Villa officials had travelled to Turkey to finalise a deal for the attacker. Those officials were also present at Beşiktaş’ game on Monday night in which Abraham played the whole 90 minutes.
Talks were held to discuss the forward’s transfer fee. Aston Villa initially offered €15m and increased this to €17.5m, that then reached €20m… which was supposed to be the asking price.
Beşiktaş, however, want in excess of the €20m, with reports this morning via Sabah, that Aston Villa have offered this figure.
However, the English club have been told they again need to increase their proposal by an additional €2m to €3m.
Despite the difference in the offer, Sabah say it’s only a matter of time before Abraham again becomes an Aston Villa player. The transfer is described as imminent.
Aston Villa in ‘Final Tango’ for Abraham transfer

With the former England international set for a return to the Premier League, the Black Eagles have identified Romelu Lukaku as a possible replacement. Beşiktaş have contracted Napoli about his fitness after his struggled with injury this season. However, the striker himself is reluctant to leave Naples this month.
Abraham spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Villa Park and impressed during his time there. He scored 26 goals in 46 games before returning to his parent club Chelsea. In 2021, he joined Jose Mourinho at Roma.
Since signing for Beşiktaş, he’s been among the goals, but didn’t find the back of the net on Monday night.
Sabah report it’s now the ‘Final Tango’ for Abraham and he’s set to join Aston Villa.
