Five days ago, El Desmarque reported Everton have revived their interest in Sevilla’s Juanlu Sánchez for the winter market.
On Monday, claims from Spain stated a Toffees offer was expected. The La Liga side would welcome a bid from David Moyes’ side as they need to raise funds to improve their finances.
Cope now backs up Everton’s interest in the right-back. The report mainly focuses on the current situation at the Andalusian club.
Sevilla need to carry out an exit operation before bringing in new faces, subsequently the club have identified the Everton target and Kike Salas as candidates. Rubén Vargas had been the man chosen originally, however, he picked up another injury.
Antonio Cordón, the Spanish club’s sporting director, is hoping these exits materialise soon.
Cope state Sevilla are ‘considering offers for Juanlu and Kike Salas.’ Everton’s interest in the 22-year-old is immediately mentioned. Whether the Premier League side have submitted a bid for him yet isn’t clear.
Over at Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, they cover the latest on Everton’s ongoing pursuit of the Spaniard. It’s again insisted a sale is needed for them to carry out signings this month and that Juanlu’s sale is key.
The fullback graduated from the club’s academy, therefore Sevilla can generate full profit from his sale.
Everton open transfer negotiations

Moyes’ side are keen and are intensifying their interest, consequently Everton have ‘opened a negotiations channel that benefits both parties’.
Faced with the possibility of losing the defender, Sevilla have made progress to find a replacement. They have identified Everton’s 24-year-old right-back Nathan Patterson as a target.
The Merseyside club are offering Patterson on loan as part of the deal for Juanlu. Sevilla would collect €15m from their own player’s sale to Everton.
The report adds Cordón is working on finalising this swap deal, however, it must be noted loans to the Spanish are rarely successful in the long term.
