It appears that Arsenal aren’t quite done on the transfer market yet despite spending big on the likes of Declan Rice, with a new centre-back on their agenda.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who claim that the Gunners are eyeing up Josip Sutalo, currently one of the stars at Dinamo Zagreb.
The reason the Italian media are reporting on it is because Fiorentina are also keen, and the fact Arsenal have entered the scene isn’t ideal for the Serie A side.
The Florence-based club are said to have already put forward a €15m bid for the centre-back, which was turned down.
That was deemed ‘not enough’ by the Croatian club, and the inclusion of Arsenal ‘does not make the task easier’, especially since clubs know how much money teams in the Premier League have to offer.
This is why, to get a deal over the line, it’s expected that it would ‘take another €10m or so’, give or take €1m either side.
Such an amount is ‘frightening’ for Fiorentina, who aren’t prepared to go that high regardless of how much they appreciate what Sutalo would bering.
For Arsenal, though, would €25m be too much? We doubt it.
