Arsenal will need to make accommodations for buyers this summer if they wish to move on Gabriel Jesus this summer.
That’s according to Sport Italia and journalist Francesco Letizia, who says Arsenal will need to pay part of the player’s salary if they want him to move on.
They consider the Brazilian as a potential target for AC Milan, who are in the market for a new striker this summer as they plan for life under a new manager post Stefano Pioli.
The hunt for a forward is on and they are looking at various names on the market, one of which could be Jesus.
He’s been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer after something of a disappointing year held back by injuries.
The growing belief has been he may move on to try and reignite his career and Sport Italia say as much, labelling him a ‘champion that needs to be put back on his feet’.
According to them, though, he currently receives an ‘illegal salary’, presumably in terms of Milan’s wage structure, at Arsenal and the Gunners ‘will have to accommodate’ any potential buyer.
In other words, they’d have to pay part of the striker’s salary if they wish him to leave on loan or lower their demands considerably to give a ‘good exit’ to the player as he still has three years on a deal worth €15m per year.
Sport Italia use Romelu Lukaku’s last few moves as an example, with Chelsea helping to facilitate those deals to get him out of Stamford Bridge.
They showed that ‘nothing is impossible’ and the belief is Arsenal will need to be as accommodating this summer if Jesus is to move to Milan, or anywhere else.
