Arsenal continue to follow Juventus’ Kenan Yıldız, after failing to sign him in the summer window.

The winger initially joined the Serie A side’s academy in 2022 and made his first team debut a year later.

He managed 27 goals and 21 assists from 132 matches, of which 11 goals and 10 assists were from last season. This convinced Arsenal to bring him to the Emirates for this season.

Arsenal not giving up

The Premier League winners saw Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli leave and signed Christos Tzolis as the only left winger during the last window.

Mikel Arteta’s side made a push to sign the 21-year-old but weren’t successful. That didn’t put them off as Corriere dello Sport states the Gunners are among clubs keen.

The Turkey international suffered a foot fracture in August and the expectation is for him to return in November.

That hasn’tstopped the Gunners, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich from considering him. Los Blancos are pressing while the Bundesliga winners are following from afar.

In February, Juventus renewed Kenan Yıldız’s contract until 2030, and that includes €7m per year salary. Should the Old Lady miss out on the Champions League next season, it’s likely they could sell him for a starting price of €100m.

Arsenal planning to make advances

TuttoMercatoWeb also cover both the north London club and the La Liga giants’ interest in the young attacker.

José Mourinho’s side are planning to follow him closely, probably more after he recovers from the setback.

Kenan Yıldız prefers to operate on the left wing and can play in other attacking positions. His age, versatility, profile and potential appeal to Mikel Arteta, who continues to admire him. This is mainly why Arsenal are ‘ready to do madness’.

The Gunners’ approach was turned down in the summer window and they have again returned for the player. TMW states the Emirates club are ‘ready to go crazy’ and are considering offering €100m to snatch him away from Juve.

Yıldız suffered a foot injury in August and is still on the sidelines. It wouldn’t make sense for the Gunners to spend big on a player, without him still returning to the pitch yet.

Ideally, Arteta’s side would like to see how he performs after regaining full fitness and then make a firm decision.
