On Wednesday, we covered an article from Calciomercato explaining that AC Milan were not giving up in their pursuit of Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior.
The interest in the centre-back comes for different reasons: the fact he isn’t playing a lot for the Gunners and his experience in Serie A, acquired during his successful spell at Spezia.
Gazzetta dello Sport have an article covering the interest in the Arsenal centre-back on Thursday, where they make it clear he is the ‘most sought-after’ player on their wish list for January.
AC Milan want a left-footed defender in the next transfer window, which is what the Poland international is, and he would become ‘very interesting’ with an option to buy attached to an initial loan deal.
The problem is that, as previously mentioned in other reports, Arsenal ‘say no’ for the time being, because they currently have no desire to let him leave.
There is a caveat to that, as Gazzetta suggest their stance could change come mid-January, but their initial reply is that he isn’t going anywhere.
One to keep an eye on, especially as a lot could depend on how Kiwior feels about all this, since the promise of regular football elsewhere could end up trumping the idea of battling for a few minutes here and there under Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.
