Arsenal, Newcastle United and Everton are in the picture to sign Granada’s Owen Emeka.

The 17-year-old’s development and potential has seen him attract interest from a few clubs. Arsenal, Newcastle United and Everton are among his suitors.

Emeka joined the Segunda División side’s academy in July 2024, after a spell at 26 de Febrero. He made his way into the Granada B team in 2025 before climbing to the first team this year.

The winger was an unused substitute in the final league matches of last season. He scored one goal from 262 minutes from six matches since making his first team debut in August.

Arsenal, Newcastle and Everton’s approaches

Journalist Matteo Moretto covers the Spain U17 international for Radio Marca‘s La Pizarra.

In April 2024, the youngster renewed his contract until 2031. Prior to that, he had offers from several unnamed important clubs, while Real Madrid also explored the possibility of signing him.

“Last season he had offers from important clubs, but he refused to leave Granada and decided to renew. Real Madrid explored signing Emeka, but it didn’t happen,” he said.

Owen Emeka still continues to attract interest from other clubs. This is when the journalist names Arsenal, Newcastle United and Everton.

Moretto explained: “There are clubs that are following him closely. Everton, Newcastle, and Arsenal asked about him.”

Release clause route for signing

Owen Emeka was born in Málaga to a Spanish father and a Nigerian mother, making him also eligible to represent Nigeria.

After relaying Matteo Moretto’s information, Soccernet from Nigeria shares more updates about the attacker.

Transfermarkt value the teenager at €1m, and his new contract includes a €15m release clause. This gives Arsenal, Newcastle United, Everton or another club an easy route to sign him.

Emeka’s suitors only have to convince him to activate the clause. For now, none of them have converted their approaches into offer. It’s also unclear whether the Premier League trio are willing to offer €15m for a player who made a handful of appearances for the first team.
