Carlos Bacca is still stringing West Ham along and if the club haven’t moved on to other targets already then they probably should. Even if Bacca were to accept an offer from The Hammers now then it would be clear he’d settled for them, rather than being genuinely excited about a transfer.
Sometimes it’s not so bad being a player’s second choice, and let’s face it Bacca would be about 7th choice for West Ham judging on earlier reports, but there just seems something distinctly cold about this one.
Calciomercato published an article on Friday bringing in interest from others in Bacca, stating: ‘In the last hours Arsenal and Napoli, through intermediaries, have come forward.’
However, on Calciomercato’s English version, it would appear some artistic licence has been applied during translation, because they have it as: ‘Napoli and Arsenal have also been approaching Bacca through intermediaries and the two clubs could make a formal bid to AC Milan in the next few hours.’
AC Milan are just keen on a quick sale anywhere, as long as clubs meet their asking price of a little under €30m.
