Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jesper Lindstrøm has been linked to Arsenal since the start of this season.
Last September, the attacking midfielder admitted he was flattered with the reports linking him to the Gunners and it is a “huge confidence boost” for him.
Sport1 in Germany now claim Arsenal are ‘very interested’ to sign the 22-year-old who is thinking of leaving the Bundesliga side in the summer.
He has nine goals and four assists from 27 matches this season. The player’s displays have seen him draw attention from the Premier League, especially with Mikel Arteta’s side in particular considered as a firm suitor.
The Denmark international is open to making a switch to England. This, coupled with the north London club’s interest in Lindstrøm doesn’t make Eintracht Frankfurt nervous. He has a deal until 2026 and it doesn’t include a release clause.
If Arsenal or another club want to sign him, they will have to ‘dig deep in their pockets’. The Bundesliga side intend to hold on to him unless they were to receive an offer of at least €30-35m.
With the Dane open to moving to the Premier League and Arsenal showing interest, it needs to be seen whether Arteta’s side will take further steps to sign him in the summer.
