Arsenal ‘carefully monitor’ defender’s situation – Gunners would be asked €40m for signing

Merih Demiral isn’t having a good time at Juventus, having not played a minute for the Turin club since September.

He signed for the club from Sassuolo in early July for €18m. Less than two weeks later, Matthijs de Ligt arrived from Ajax for several times that figure.

Despite Giorgio Chiellini being out injured, Demiral isn’t getting the chances he will have expected.

Such a figure is thought to have scared off AC Milan, but hasn’t had the same impact with Arsenal and Atletico.

Demiral doesn’t want to spend the rest of the season being ‘Sarri’s last choice’, and it’s claimed he’ll therefore speak with his agents in December to try and find a solution.

Arsenal are thought to need strengthening in central defence, and this could be an opportunity for the Gunners to take seriously.
