Wolves could soon be facing another decision involving Pedro Lima, with Brazilian side Palmeiras now entering talks over a possible move, according to ESPN Brazil.
The report explains that, while negotiating with Wolves for Jhon Arias, Palmeiras also opened discussions about the 19-year-old right-back. Lima has struggled for space at the Molineux, featured for the club’s U23s and recently spent time on loan with Porto B before returning early to England.
ESPN add that conversations are already underway, with Palmeiras keen to push the deal forward. The talks are being led by the same club emissary initially sent to Europe to negotiate for Nino, a Brazilian defender playing in Russia.
Wolves still involved in business
After failing to lure Nino away from Zenit during their Middle East pre-season, the representative travelled to England to close the Arias deal and is now using the trip to explore Lima’s availability.
Internally, Palmeiras see right-back as a position in need of reinforcements. Club sources believe Lima could arrive ready to compete for minutes, potentially challenging their regular starters.
For Wolves, this represents yet another Brazilian approach following Lima’s early recall from Porto. With interest growing and the player still on the fringes in England, the signs point towards the Premier League club preparing for a possible separation.
It also represents another potential out of window exit, although this one wouldn’t come directly from Rob Edwards’ squad. Jhon Arias’ is closing in on a Brazil return, and Emmanuel Agbadou is almost a Beşiktaş player.
