Pedro Lima has returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers after the Premier League club ended his loan spell at FC Porto ahead of schedule, according to A Bola in Portugal.
The newspaper report that the decision was confirmed publicly by manager Francesco Farioli before Porto’s game against Santa Clara.
As a result, the Brazilian right-back has already travelled back to England, bringing his short stay in Portuguese football to an early close.
This development marks a clear shift in Wolves’ planning. Lima had joined Porto on loan to gain European minutes, initially with Porto B, while staying close to the first-team setup.
Injuries in the Porto squad had pushed him closer to senior consideration, but the club and Wolves opted to terminate the agreement early.
Before leaving Portugal, the 19-year-old posted a farewell message to the Portuguese club. “Thank you for the opportunity to see up close how great this club is,” Lima wrote, as quoted by A Bola.
His return to England also comes amid reports from Portugal that clubs back in Brazil have been monitoring his situation, with interest growing around a possible permanent move in January.
Wolves now regain full control of the defender, who remains under contract until 2029, and the next steps in his short-term future are still open.
