Everton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko has admitted there are three Everton players he would be putting in his fantasy team, if he played it.

Fantasy picks
The defender is heading into another season in which he will be Everton’s first choice left-back under David Moyes. Indeed, he is the only left-back in the squad as Adam Aznou is spending the season on loan at Malaga.
That means he could be a solid pick for a fantasy football players looking for a defender guaranteed minutes in a team that could be competing for Europe.
But it seems he wouldn’t pick himself if he played the game. Instead, there are three Everton teammates he’s putting at the top of his list.
“Well, let me name three. Jarrad Branthwaite… and then one from each line: Jarrad Branthwaite, (James) Tarkowski, and (Kiernan) Dewsbury-Hall – he’s a midfielder,” he said.
“Those are three players worth picking – since the focus is largely on performance statistics, I think they’ll really help rack up points.”
Solid selection
Whether fantasy football players following the Ukrainian defender’s advice, remains to be seen. With other options such as Tyrique George in the Everton squad, they may be tempted to look elsewhere.
Tarkowski is certainly a good shout, though, given he is Everton captain and always good for a goal. Indeed, he’s already proved his goal threat with the late equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth this season.
Branthwaite also regularly pops up with goals from set pieces and was unlucky not to do so in that Bournemouth game as well.
Little needs to be said about Dewsbury-Hall, given how he’s played for Everton since his move from Chelsea last summer. And he’s already up and running for the season after his goal against Crystal Palace on the opening weekend.
