Today’s edition of L’Equipe also has a story regarding the forward with a headline that reads ‘Moussa Dembélé, yes, but…’ They talk about the interest from Rudi Garcia’s, but also claim that Lyon could turn their attention towards the 22-year-old, if their player Mariano Diaz joins Sevilla.
The two clubs have already held discussions regarding the Frenchman, but after the first round of talks, the Ligue 1 outfit had then decided against making an approach.
It’s claimed that a fortnight ago, the Scottish Premiership club were open to the idea of allowing the former Fulham man leave the club, if they received a fee of €15 to €20m.
Demeble is now willing to leave Celtic and any approach from Lyon must see them act quickly as his exit is seen as a real possibility.
Whether Bruno Génésio’s side complete the deal, Marseille finally sign their long term target, or he continues at Celtic beyond the transfer window is something we will find out soon.
