As AC Milan continue to look for a replacement for Stefano Pioli this summer, Brighton & Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi keeps being one of their main targets.
The Rossoneri’s hunt for a new manager is today highlighted by Calcio Mercato, who claims the Serie A giants have two big options on their table.
The first one is De Zerbi, whose situation at Brighton includes two key factors which could favour Milan’s move to get him.
There’s first the fact he has a €15m release clause at the Premier League side, and despite the Rossoneri’s will to bring that price down with an alternative formula, that’s seen as an option.
Calcio Mercato also talk about the ‘flop’ that Brighton’s season has been. It all has to do with De Zerbi’s great campaign in the 2022/23 season, which could now not be repeated, and could make it easier for the coach to leave the Seagulls.
The outlet points out that the manager has been thinking about changing agents, with no urge to sign a new deal with the Premier League side, and that could be another sign that he may leave the club this summer.
