Over the past few days, multiple reports from AS explained SD Huesca have reactivated their interest in Rafa Mir after failing to land the Wolverhampton Wanderers forward last summer.
Heraldo reported on Wednesday the second division Spanish side are ‘optimistic’ of getting a deal done for the forward.
Wolves allowed the Spain U21 international to join Nottingham Forest on a loan deal. The 22-year-old started in only two league games and hasn’t feature for the Championship side for more than a month now.
He’s of interest to clubs in Russia, Germany and Turkey, but the report claims Mir wants to return to Spain in January.
Getafe, Granada, Mallorca and Eibar have knocked on the door to sign Mir, with the latter two maintaining interest in the player since last summer. Huesca also get a mention.
Marca doesn’t specify which club is leading the race to sign Mir, but they state the attacker’s desire is to return to Spain and he’ll decide his future in the next few days.
