Ederson’s contract at the Etihad Stadium runs out in the summer of 2026.

A renewal isn’t quite on the horizon for the Brazilian and the Citizens now seem to be preparing for life without him.

TuttoSport today have reported that Manchester City see Juventus’ Michele di Gregorio as a replacement for Ederson, who they expect to see leave the English champions in the summer transfer window.

They state that Pep Guardiola’s side have an eye on the Italian, whose performance and saves against the Citizens in the Champions League earlier this season ‘didn’t go unnoticed’. That convinced Manchester City that the 27-year-old can replace Ederson.

As of now, the Bianconeri star is happy in Turin and has fully embraced the project. Juventus also want to keep him at the club in the longer term. The club’s sporting director Cristiano Guintoli will not be against a sale if a huge offer arrives and it can help the Old Lady earn a capital profit.

Manchester City still have a chance of landing the player and it remains to be seen if they continue to keep an eye on him, with the report also teasing interest from Liverpool.
