Harry Maguire’s transfer from Leicester City to Manchester United is probably being celebrated by some people in Lisbon.

As reported by newspaper O Jogo today, the Benfica president Luís Felipe Vieira is now more calm since the Red Devils should not try to sign defender Ruben Dias anymore.

After spending €87m on Maguire, O Jogo writes that it’s highly unlikely Manchester United would spend other €66m on Dias’ release clause. And since they were the ‘big interested’ club, this possibility has collapsed.

But there are still two Premier League clubs who are not ruled out as a possibility: Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

O Jogo writes that ‘the interrogations were not totally dispelled’, since there have been echoes, ‘still not confirmed’, from Manchester City and Wolves.

Both clubs have been linked to Dias for a while now, but we’re still to see some heavy claims regarding a chase.

There’s also the fact that Benfica are not letting him go for less than his €66m release clause, so it would be quite surprising to see either of the clubs making a late move with that amount.
