Celtic’s interest in the Real Partizan defender Strahinja Pavlovic isn’t being taken very seriously by the foreign press.

The Hoops’ chase for the player had first been reported by the Scottish media, with the claims being covered in a few other countries.

Since Benfica are following the player as well, O Jogo had a story about it yesterday. They said there’s ‘an English club’ getting involved, and at the end of the story, they’ve added Celtic’s name.

But the Scottish side are now completely forgotten. In it’s Saturday edition, O Jogo reports that Benfica are preparing a €6m offer for the player, just like Juventus.

O Jogo once again says there’s a UK side in the race, but don’t even give a mention to Celtic this time.

So that could mean two things. Either Celtic are no longer in this race, or their chase isn’t being taken very seriously by the people involved in the negotiations.
