Three days ago, Fennec Football stated Royale Union Saint-Gilloise star Mohamed Amoura could move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the winter market.

The striker has been a standout player for the Jupiler Pro League side, scoring 17 goals and registering three assists from 25 games. It’s no surprise his fine form has drawn the attention of several clubs, including Wolves.

Another report from Fennec Football states Gary O’Neil’s side and Lyon are the two clubs that stand out, by expressing an ‘immediate desire’ to sign him.

It’s claimed the Algeria international has received concrete offers from Wolves and the Ligue 1 side. The report adds the negotiations are at an advanced stage with both clubs, which could result in a transfer next month.

Brighton & Hove Albion had initially appeared as a contender to acquire the 23-year-old’s services. There’s been an ‘unexpected twist’ in this case after Wolves and the French club surprisingly took the lead.

The Union Saint-Gilloise frontman will be representing his national team at the AFCON and that will provide him another platform to showcase his qualities.

Fennec Football claim both the Premier League side and Lyon are insisting on agreeing a deal in January, likely to avoid a potential auction with other clubs, especially if Amoura were to impress at AFCON.
